For the therapy scene, we decided that the best location available to us to shoot this first scene was the drama studios. Not only do we have the access to the lights situated in the studio, but the space allowed us to position the props, chairs and other elements of the scene around certain shots we were doing. The lighting in the studio is ultimately essential in this first scene because we want the mood of this scene to be very tense, and with the use of the technical crew in the drama department, we were able to set the mood of the scene to our liking because of the fact we had the option of lights.
Scene 2: Alleyway
Here is an image of the alleyway we are intending to shoot in. We ultimately chose this alleyway for the scene where the drug deal takes place mainly because of the lighting. There is a bright lamp over facing directly on the fence, which gives a nice tense feel to the scene. Also, the length and width of the alleyway gives us the option for various different shots we could potentially use in trying to create a tense atmospherical tone to this scene. This alleyway is also very useful in terms of location because it is not very far away from the house we are shooting the main segment of the film in. This will allow us to quickly drive down to this location with the actors and equipment and finish the film.
This alleyway also looks like the conventional alleyway in England where you would see a drug deal take place. This again adds to the realism of our film so the audience are able to believe what is going on in the scene because of conventions associated with an alleyway such as this.
